The parish Church of St. Agatha's, Llanymynech, straddles the border of England and Wales, nestled at the foothills of Llanymynech Hill.
In serving the three communities of Llanymynech, Pant (part of which is however served by Morton Parish) and Carreghofa, strong links with both English and Welsh residents have been established.
The church has good links with the two primary schools in the parish (Bryn Offa C of E School in Pant and Carreghofa County Primary School) and the two pre-schools (Pant Pandas and Border Pre-School).
The church, having been a site of Christian worship for over 1000 years, remains close-knit and welcoming to both new residents and visitors.
The Sunday services are traditional, using Common Worship Order One for our weekly Eucharist. Our choir sings at Sunday services and festivals. Weekday Offices are said in Church everyday and there are additional services on major feast days. There is a time of fellowship following the service on the first Sunday of the month in the Church Hall where we offer tea and toast.
The Parish Magazine, besides keeping people informed of Church News and Services, also covers general parish news. It is delivered monthly to subscribers and is available from the village shop and the back of church.
The Church also holds several fund raising events throughout the year including the Christmas Fair, Spring Fair and Summer Strawberry Tea. We also hold at least one concert in Church usually featuring a visiting choir.
There is a Church Hall which adjoins the closed churchyard and is well-used for parish and community functions.
There are car parking facilities in the churchyard.
There is a Guide company and a thriving Brownie pack which attends church at regular intervals for special services as do both schools.
